How One Factory Created a Warning the World Still Ignores

Ninety years ago, in 1932, a factory in Japan’s Kumamoto Prefecture began producing acetaldehyde, a decision that slowly and silently contaminated an entire community. Over the decades that followed, more than 100,000 people were affected, and the consequences continue even today.

In our first documentary, we revisit the tragic events that unfolded in Minamata. We trace how the disaster emerged, how it spread through the ecosystem and the people, and how the Adhishthana Principles reveal that the warning signs were present from the very beginning.
